what happens in a consultation

 
 
  • After you have booked you will receive an email, please reply covering what you would like to discover during our consultation.

  • During your session we will take the time to discuss your goals, medical history and current lifestyle, nutrition and exercise. We may do an InBody scan for a starting reference.

  • From here we identify together areas that need to be developed and I give you the tools and knowledge to do this and you will walk away with work to complete before we meet again.

  • You may wish to have a personalised meal plan and recipes.

  • I will likely ask you to keep a food, mood, sleep and exercise diary before our follow up appointment.

  • I suggest a follow up appointment 1 week after your initial appointment and from there we work on an ongoing plan if necessary.

what are your qualifications?

I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (Kings College, London) and a Master of Science in Sport & Exercise Nutrition (Oxford Brookes, Oxford). I am also 1:1 Diet (Formally Cambridge Weight Plan) Trained and hold a Cert 4 in Fitness as well as my CrossFit Level 1.

Where are you located?

I work out of my office at Freshstart 24/7 Gym on the Northern Beaches for consultations. My husband and I purchased the Narrabeen Gym in 2015 and it is located inside of Pittwater Sports Centre. You can find me here.

if i am not based in sydney can i still see you?

Absolutely. We can do a zoom or phone consultation and you can book in here.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A CONSULTATION?

I’ve broken down what you can expect here. But if I have missed anything please reach out and ask.

how soon can i expect results?

If we sit down and really honestly talk about where you are at right now and you listen and take on board the changes I suggest I would expect you to feel results within as little as 1 week.

CAN I USE MY PRIVATE HEALTH?

I suggest reaching out to your health insurance provider to ensure they cover nutrition services (Nutritionists are recognised differently to Dieticians) to find out whether or not you are eligible to make a claim. You may be able to claim under “dietary” extras, “healthy lifestyle” or “weight management” depending on your level of cover.

Please also note I don’t have a HICAPS system and you will need to make a claim manually after your consultation.

do you offer packages & gift cards?

Absolutely, I can tailor a package to your or a loved ones needs. Just reach out and contact me and we can discuss your options based on your goals. We can include just Nutrition or combine Nutrition & Personal Training.

I am getting ready for an event, how soon should I come and see you?

If you’re preparing for a big day such as a wedding, corporate event, holiday, surgery or fitness event I suggest coming at least 8 weeks before so we can tailor your program to yield the best results. The more time the better to ensure we can allocate time to meal preparation, fitness, sleep and have the time for the adaptations to occur and adjustments implemented as needed.
